| What to do: | Hold a barbell in front of your body. Point your feet straight and stand upright. Bend over bringing the bar towards the floor keeping your back as arched as you can. After going down as far as you can stand back up and bring your shoulders back slightly at the top to take the pressure off of your lower back. Keep your legs locked throughout the entire exercise. |

| Don't Forget to: | If you are so flexible that your barbell touches the floor stand on something like an aerobics step with the tips of your toes to the very end and reach the dumbbells over the edge of the step as you reach for the floor. It is very important that you keep your knees completely locked. If your bend your knees you will end up working the lower back instead of the hamstrings. | ||||
