Leg exercises

Name of exercise:   STANDING LEG CURL

Start Position Finish Position
What to do:

Place a weight on the floor for you to stand on.  Lean over the standing leg curl as shown.  Place your elbows on the elbow supports and grab the handles.  Lift one leg up at a time bringing the heel up as high as you can.  Bring the weight back down and continue.  Do all the repetitions on one leg and then switch and do the other leg.

Don't Forget to: If you go up too fast your leg will actually come off the leg pad and you will almost be bouncing it up and down.  Slow down and keep the leg pad on your calf throughout the entire exercise.
Equipment needed: Standing leg curl machine.
Muscles worked: Hamstrings & some glutes.
