Leg exercises

Name of exercise:   PLIE SQUATS
Start Position Finish Position
What to do:

Open your legs so that your feet are much wider than shoulder width.  Point your feet out like a ballet stance.  Hold the dumbbell by one end and let it hang between your legs.  Extend your arms fully and begin to squat down.  Let the weight just pull you down with it.  Slowly come back up into the top or starting position.

Don't Forget to: Keep your back arched.  Don't bend over as you go down. Keeping the back upright will help focus on the legs.  Don't bend the arms, just let them hang in front of you.
Equipment needed: Dumbbell.
Muscles worked: Muscles of the inner thigh.  Some quads and minimal glutes.
