Leg exercises

Name of exercise:   JUMP LUNGES
Start Position Middle Position Finish Position
What to do: This exercise can be done at least two ways. 1. for more advanced exercises hold a  medicine ball in front of you as shown.  2.  For more beginning to intermediate exercises put your hands in front of you for balance and so that they'll basically be out of the way.  Next, get into a lunge position and then jump into the air.  As you jump in the air switch your feet so the back foot is now in the front and vice versa.  Make sure that when your feet land on the ground that they land at the same time.  Repeat the exercise doing about 10-15 reps on each side.  
Don't Forget to: Keep the front knee over the heel as much as possible.  Don't lunge so far forward that the knee is over the toes.  Keep your feet about shoulder width apart.
Equipment needed: None unless you use a medicine ball
Muscles worked: Quads mostly, also glutes and hamstrings.
