| What to do: | Adjust the cable pulley machine so that it is about the level of your chest. This exercise is called a triple extension because there are three joints that you will be extending: the hip, knee, and ankle joints. Squeeze the butt cheek of the side you are working and suck the abdominal muscles in from the belly button. Extend your leg back and point your toe as shown. Grab onto the handle grip with your thumb up. Keeping the rest of the body completely still pull the handle and cable back as far as you can rolling the shoulder blade on that side. Exhale as you pull and inhale as you return to the starting position. |
