Arm exercises |
||||
| Name of exercise: STANDING BARBELL CURLS | |||||
![]() |

||||
| Start Position | Finish Position | ||||
| What to do: | Stand upright and hold an easy curl bar on the 'slant down' as shown in the start position photo. With the feet facing forward suck the abs in tight and bring the elbows forward. Start with the arms completely straight and exhale as you curl the bar up, flexing the arms. Bring the bar all the way up exhaling as you do and return to the start position. Inhale on the way down. | ||||
| Don't Forget to: | Don't let the elbows move all over the place while doing this exercise. Also, don't rock the upper body back and forth just to get the weight up. Select a weight that you are able to control. | ||||
| Equipment needed: | Easy curl bar. It can also be done with a straight bar but this can put more stress on the wrists. | ||||
| Muscles worked: | Biceps | ||||
