Abdominal exercises

Name of exercise:    SCISSORS OFF BENCH
Start Position
Finish Position
What to do:

Lay on a flat bench with your hips right on the edge of the bench.  Hold on to the bench with your hands and lift your legs in the air straight out in front of you.  Point your toes and using a scissor like motion alternate your legs in the air so that the bottom leg is about straight out and the upper leg is at about a 45 degree angle.

Don't Forget to: Keep your lower back on the bench as much as possible.  Use control and make short little breaths.  Exhale every time you switch your legs.
Equipment needed: Flat exercise bench.
Muscles worked: Abdominal muscles especially lower.
