Abdominal exercises

Name of exercise:    ROMAN CHAIR: MEDICINE BALL
Start Position Finish Position
What to do:

Support yourself by your forearms on a roman chair.  Have a work out partner place a medicine ball between your knees and squeeze tightly.  This particular ball weighs 12 lbs.  Lift your knees up into your midsection and exhale on the way up.  Inhale as you bring your legs back down.

Don't Forget to: Only bring your legs so far back down that you can still feel the tension in your abdominal muscles.  Don't let the legs come all the way down.
Equipment needed: Roman chair, medicine ball.
Muscles worked: Abdominal muscles, especially lower abs.
