Abdominal exercises

Name of exercise:   ROMAN CHAIR: BALL RAISE
Start Position Finish Position
What to do: Support yourself by your forearms on a roman chair.  Grab an exercise ball with your inner ankles and lift the ball as high as you can.  Exhale on the way up and inhale on the way back down.
Don't Forget to: Make sure you pivot up and down from your hips and not from your knees.  Otherwise you work more leg muscles (such as your hip flexors) than you do you abdominal muscles.  Also, don't go so fast that you are using momentum instead of your abs.
Equipment needed: Roman chair, exercise ball.
Muscles worked: Abdominal muscles especially lower abdominal muscles.
